1. Communicate with customers and obtain information
When customers have demand for new products, the marketing department is responsible for communicating with customers and obtaining relevant information about new products, including drawings, technical requirements, sample delivery form, date, quantity and other requirements of new products. (Specific technical requirements are communicated between the product R&D engineering department and customers)
The marketing department shall reconfirm the information obtained to ensure its accuracy and then organize relevant departments to review the information obtained.
2. Information review, design and development
The APQP team shall review the information obtained (with the participation of the general manager or other relevant departments when necessary) to determine the required materials, equipment molds, testing instruments, personnel configuration, packaging and transportation, etc.
The results of the review shall be recorded in the corresponding APQP form and confirmed by the project leader and implemented in accordance with the APQP Management Procedure.
3. Procurement, design and manufacture of tooling and inspection tools, and production of samples
The product R&D engineering department is responsible for the configuration of equipment and mold design required for new products and the establishment of production lines.
The purchasing department purchases parts according to regulations, and the product R&D engineering department, quality department and production department collaborate to manufacture samples.
Customers verify samples and provide feedback, and optimize tooling or process flow based on feedback.
4. Mass production
Mass production will hand over standard operating instructions, BOM, tooling, etc. to the production department. Mass products are produced collaboratively by the marketing department, production department, and quality department.
